Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What type of self-defense is this?
Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) is a research-backed violence prevention method, not a martial art. It blends 20 years of experience in Japanese martial arts, Tai Chi, Warrior Spirit Training, IMPACT, and ESD techniques.
  2. How is ESD different from martial arts?
Martial arts focus on self-improvement, while self-defense is about real-world safety. ESD teaches practical techniques to handle threats, incorporating effective moves from martial arts Tasha Church has studied.
  3. Who is this course for?
This program is for anyone who wants to feel safer, set clear boundaries, and take control of their personal security. It’s especially beneficial for women and vulnerable communities seeking empowerment.
